Emperor Akbar - who is greater than god ?
one day in durbar hall. A poet interested to praise the Emperor Akbar. He rose and said ''oh! king of kings, emperor of emperors you are greater than god''. Emperor Akbar gave him gold coin and the poet left. Akbar summoned the ministers. Now we see their discussions.
Akbar: oh! hon ministers. Now a poet came and said that i am greater than god. what is the meaning to it ? Do you think i am greater than god ?
minister 1: what shall i say your honour ?
minister 2: oh! Emperor instead of asking us, why you did not asked him ?
minister 3: How can i answer your honour ? it is difficult to answer, it may be untruth or displeasing your honour.
minister 4: (like our t.n. minister) yes, your honour you are more great than god. i have no doubt.
Akbar: oh! hon minister 4, i am happy from your words but how you say this ? am i really great than god. can you explain me ?
All minister are silent (19 ministers) all looking one face to another and Akbar did not receive any answer. Now, he turned to the side of Birbal.
Akbar: Birbal, do you think i am greater than god ? i want the truth. no play game birbal.
Birbal: why jehanpanah, beyond a doubt you are.
Akbar: Birbal, are you trying to flatter me ?
